Difference between a Jumbo Loan vs Conventional?

Loan Amount

Conventional loans have a maximum loan amount of $766,500.

Jumbo loan amounts are between $766,501 - $10,000,000 with AsertaLoans

Down Payment

Conventional loans have a minimum down payment of 5% (or 3% for first-time homebuyers).

Interest Rate

Jumbo loans typically have a higher interest rate than conventional loans. However, Jumbo loans do not require a monthly private mortgage insurance payment like conventional does.
